Minerals Composition of Solanum aethiopicum L. and Amaranthus hybridus L. Leaves from Burkina Faso

Aim: Malnutrition remains a public health problem in children aged under five years Burkina Faso. Research to find indigenous vegetables with high content of minerals can contribute fight against malnutrition. The aim this study was assess composition Solanum aethiopicum L. and Amaranthus hybridus leaves grown Faso.
 Methodes: have been collected three markets Ouagadougou. For the two plants, dry analysed for following content: Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Sodium (Na), Phosphor (P), Iron (Fe) Zinc (Zn). analyses done using atomic absorption spectrophotometer flame photometer methodes.
 Results: results showed mean concentration K, Ca Mg plants. leaves, respectively 3064; 1048 666 mg/100 g. trace elements were also high: Fe (12 g) Zn (20 g). 3573; 606 475 had highest minerals: Ca, Mg, Na, P, compared leaves.
 Conclusion: This that both plants are good sources important minerals. They essential be included diet promote growth
